Dr. Scott Hagan

Senior Advisor

Scott A. Hagan is a pastor, writer, and educator whose work sits at the intersection of leadership, public theology, and institutional formation. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University and served as a visiting post-doctoral research collaborator at Princeton University (2024–25) through the James Madison Program. He is a Senior Fellow and Advisor with the American Council and previously served as the seventh president of North Central University (2017–2023) in Minneapolis. Hagan also serves on the board of the William Seymour Institute, the Board of Scholars for the International Standard Version (ISV) Bible, and as chaplain for the National Football Foundation. He and his wife, Karen, live in Penryn, California, and serve on the executive team of Destiny Church, where he is President of Destiny Christian Academy.
